Delta Electronics provides the emergency notification system of a large sports stadium in Moscow with uninterruptible power supply
Delta Electronics provided the emergency notification system installed at one of the largest Moscow stadiums with uninterruptible power supply. The project was implemented with the assistance of CROC Incorporated acting as an integrator and Landata as a Delta Electronics distributor.
During the sport centers construction, the special emphasis is placed on the safety of spectators. To achieve this, the facility should be equipped with emergency notification system for timely fire alarming, as well as escape routes and plan announcements. This system is critical and should function under all circumstances, including blackouts, so it is necessary to ensure that it is equipped with an appropriate uninterruptible power supply.
To have the UPS for the emergency notification and escape management system installed at one of the largest Moscow sports stadiums, the customer addressed CROC Incorporated, a system integrator. CROC, along with Landata, an equipment distributor, chose Delta Electronics solutions. The reason for this choice was the optimal balance of price and quality of the company’s products as well as their reliability. The solution proposed by Delta Electronics included six Ultron HPH Series UPS with capacity of 20-30 kVA, two EH UPS with capacity of 10 kVA, and four Amplon RT UPS with capacity of 6 kVA.
Pavel Teptsov, representative of the power supply division of the Intelligent Building Department at CROC Incorporated, says: “When it comes to such a huge sports facility, the emergency notification system is one of the crucial issues. That is why when choosing a suitable UPS, we had such high requirements to the system. Delta Electronics products fully comply with all required standards, and are the best choice regarding value for money. In addition, we have already used Delta Electronics systems when implementing other projects, and they have proven to be highly efficient.”
All selected UPS are equipped with double conversion technology, thus ensuring full protection 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and the economy mode with one of the highest-in-class efficiency that helps to reduce operating costs. Additionally, digital signal processing (DSP) reduces the number of electronic components, which in turn means a lower failure rate. For instance, EH Series UPS are equipped with advanced software that enables processing of alarms, remote shutdown, as well as review and analysis of records in the event log, which is extremely important for safety systems.
