Delta Presents New Industrial Automation Solutions for Smart Manufacturing at SPS IPC Drives Italia 2018

PARMA, Italy, 24 May, 2018
Delta, a global leader in power, thermal management and industrial automation solutions, is presenting a wide range of integrated solutions for smart manufacturing at SPS IPC Drives Italia 2018 in Parma, Italy. Some of the Delta highlights at the event include the widescreen Ethernet HMI DOP-100 Series human machine interface, the CFP2000 vector control drive for HVAC and water treatment systems, and the latest versions of Delta’s MH300 and MS300 AC drives.

Luca Cavagnari, head of sales, Delta Industrial Automation Business Group (IABG) in Italy, said, “The products and solutions Delta is bringing to SPS IPC Drives Italia clearly reflects our commitment to the Italian market. These products are going to help industrial facilities here improve their energy efficiency, production output, and quality by updating to the latest smart, green technologies.”

Monique Appeldoorn, Delta IABG’s marketing & communication manager for the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region, said, “The next revolution in manufacturing is underway, and our customers are building factories that are more profitable, flexible, and environmentally friendly by taking advantage of the latest innovations in automation and control. But these investments need to be made wisely, so that all the systems can integrate with the facility’s infrastructure. With two decades of experience in the field, Delta is coming to Parma with products, software and integrated solutions that allow manufacturers to create entire automated lines and factories.”

Bellow you’ll find a summary of the key technologies and solutions that can be found at the Delta booth, Stand A022 in Pavilion 5:

Digitalized Factory Control and Management
Fanless 15-inch and 19-inch industrial touchscreen PCs from Delta will be on display in Parma. Suitable for reliable operation in harsh environments, the Delta DIAVH-PPC15 and DIAVH-PPC19 all-in-one panel PCs can for instance run DIAView software, Delta’s SCADA system. The DIAVH-IPC is also available in a box form factor. Delta’s industrial PCs are also fully compatible with the IEMS software platform.

Industrial Robots
Delta’s SCARA robots integrate with control units and peripheral components as part of integrated robot workstations. When matched with other automation equipment such as servo systems, machine vision systems, and linear modules, these robots allow manufacturers to design modularized production lines capable of producing multiple products.

Human Machine Interfaces
Delta’s new Widescreen Ethernet HMI DOP-100 Series HMIs communicate via Ethernet to integrate with smart machines, production lines, factories, and clouds. The DOP-100 Series uses Cortex-A8 high-speed processors, offering HD display resolution and support for remote monitoring via a number of different channels including FTP, email, and VNC.
The HMC Series controllers are Delta’s new human machine interfaces with additional built-in PLC functions for sequence control. They come with two high-speed CPUs to ensure efficiency for large and complicated PLC programs. The HMC Series is based on DMCNET, Delta’s real-time communication bus that can connect with the ASDA Series servo drives for high-performance synchronous motion control.

AC Motor Drives
Delta’s high-end ASDA-A3 servo system features advanced servo drive functions, including 3.1 kHz bandwidth, 24-bit absolute type encoder with high resolution, and a low frequency vibration suppression function for enhanced motion control performance. The servo drive and motor have been designed with compact dimensions for greater flexibility in industrial applications.

Motion Controllers

The AH10EMC EtherCAT Motion Controller is Delta’s new motion controller that supports both the EtherCAT protocol for motion control as well as the Ethernet standard for data transmission. The AH10EMC allows operators to control machines with remote I/O, induction, and spindle motors synchronously for up to 32 motion drive axes. The AH10EMC also serves as a host controller with integrated motion and control features. The Delta Motion Control NETwork (DMCNET) is a high speed, real-time communication system, capable of controlling up to 12 axes of servo system units within 1ms simultaneously.

Delta welcomes visitors to stop by for product demonstrations, additional product information, and an opportunity to meet and talk with Delta’s automation experts.
