Delta Electronics EMEA once again joined the global movement of World Cleanup Day — a day when people around the world voluntarily take action to keep their environment clean and healthy. This year, in addition to our EMEA HQ office in the Netherlands, even more volunteers stepped forward, with colleagues from our German offices in Teningen and Soest also joining the campaign. In total, teams from three Delta offices participated, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to sustainability and community care.
The clean-up efforts focused on the areas surrounding our workplaces — the spaces we walk through and interact with during our daily routines. In Hoofddorp (Netherlands), colleagues tidied the office surroundings and nearby public spaces. In Soest (Germany), teams cleaned the office grounds and included the bike paths frequently used by employees and neighbours. Meanwhile in Teningen, participants extended their efforts beyond the office area to the banks of the River Elz — a critical action to help protect a valuable local ecosystem and prevent waste from entering waterways.
From bending down to collect scattered packaging to teaming up and carrying heavy, filled bags to collection points, colleagues rolled up their sleeves and supported one another throughout the clean-up. Conversations, laughter, and encouragement turned a simple task into a moment of connection — reminding us that sustainability thrives through collective action.
Across these locations, our volunteer teams collected a total of 21 large 120-litre bags of waste in just around two hours — a clear and measurable contribution to cleaner and more pleasant communities.
This collective effort reflects the strength of Delta’s culture: caring for our environment, supporting our local communities, and taking action together beyond our everyday work. It also highlights how small actions, repeated across different locations, can create meaningful impact.
